Acne Skin Care Specialists Serving Apex, Cary and Surrounding Areas
Heather
- CMA
Heather, CMA, has an Associate Degree in applied science in Medical Assisting.
She provides the utmost care and assistance to our medical providers with
surgical procedures, acne treatments and chemical peels . She is currently
working on her CNA license and then to earn her degree in nursing.
Allyson
- Massage Therapist
Allyson has been with The Skin Institute since it's opening in July 2009.
Allyson brings to the practice her skills as an License Massage and BodyWork
Therapist. She is also certified in Medical Massage, including cranial and TMD
work, trained in Swedish, Myofascial, Trigger Point, Pregnancy, Hot stone and
Reflexology.
Allyson excels at assessing postural distortion and functional misalignment and
creating appropriate treatment plans.
Gwen -
Massage Therapist
Gwen, LMBT 6962 is a nationally certified and a N.C. licensed massage and bodywork therapist. She enjoys using her education and experience to help others manage their pain and stress through massage. She has been trained in a wide range of techniques including MDL (Manual Lymph Drainage) and deep tissue. She is especially fond of incorporating Aromatherapy and hot stones in her work.
Nancy
- Massage Therapist
Nancy, LMBT (NC license #5140) practices massage with TSI on a part time basis. She has studied three different medical massage techniques and is certified in two. She assists in reduction or elimination of discomfort resulting from headaches, TMJD, postural distortions and repetitive strains and stress from daily life. She believes nobody deserves to be in pain. Nancy draws from all of her education and experience to facilitate a treatment plan and work WITH you to help you achieve your goals.
Michelle
- Massage Therapist
Michelle, LMBT , is a N.C. licensed massage and bodywork therapist. Michelle has extensive expertise in sports injuries. She enjoys evaluating her clients and developing a plan to reduce their pain and stress through massage. She has been trained in a wide range of techniques including pregnancy massage and deep tissue.
Kami - Office Manager
Kami, comes to us from a diverse background. She has a master’s in education from Long Island University, and also degrees from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Most recently teaching at a small private college in New York, she has also worked in publishing, the fashion industry and retail management. As our Office Manager, she ensures everything runs smoothly, and that each and every patient receives the highest level of quality care and service.
